Barcelona are looking to make their fifth signing of the summer as the Blaugrana have added Lorenzo Insigne and Jose Gaya to their list of players who could potentially succeed at the Camp Nou next season.
According to Express, the Blaugrana are open to selling four players to raise the funds required to sign Napoli striker. The 30-year-old is currently valued at €48m as per Transfermrket, but with his contract set to run out next year, negotiations with Napoli could bring down the transfer fee for the Italian.
Lorenzo Insigne is currently representing Italy at the Euro 2020 where he has scored one goal from two games. Last season, Insigne scored 19 times and supplied on six occasions from 35 outings. These are decent stats for any player.
It is understood that Barca are open to selling Antoinne Greizmann and Philippe Coutinho this summer. Greizmann hasn’t looked his best since he joined Barcelona back in 2019 for a reported fee of €120 million. The Frenchman scored 20 goals and assisted on 12 occasions last season in 51 outings. Coutinho has struggled for playtime with injuries and inconsistency ever since he made a move to Barcelona in 2018.
Martin Braithwaite and Franciso Trincao are also said to be up for sale. The Dane hardly featured for the team last season, and when he did, his performances were not all impressive. Trincao looked impressive whenever Koeman used him, but the way the attack is shaping up for the Blaugrana, the 21-year-old could struggle to find himself minutes on the pitch next season.
Barcelona offer two players to Valencia for star defender
As per Express, Barca are also set to offer two players to Valencia to convince them to part ways with their left-back, Jose Gaya.
The 26-year-old is believed to be the long-term replacement of Jordi Alba at the club if reports are to be believed.
Though the Spaniard has got no intentions of leaving Barcelona, the club will be tempted to part ways with the 32-year-old should a favourable offer arrive for him.
