Bayern Munich have reached an agreement with Liverpool over the transfer of forward Sadio Mane, multiple reports have claimed. The 30-year-old was Bayern’s top target this summer, and the Bavarians had a previous bid rejected by the Reds, who deemed it inadequate.
However, they returned with an improved offer – 32 million guaranteed plus an additional six million in easily attainable add-ons – and struck a deal with the Premier League giants.
Mane has already agreed personal terms with the German champions, as per reports. He will join Bayern on a three-year deal until the end of the 2024/25 season and become their third signing of the summer transfer window after former Ajax pair Noussair Mazraoui and Ryan Gravenberch.
The Senegalese will leave Liverpool a year ahead of the expiration of his contract. He signed for the Reds in a 34 million pounds deal from Southampton in 2016; six years later, he leaves with 269 appearances in the bag and 120 goals. The attacker also departs Merseyside with a cabinet full of trophies. During his time at the club, Liverpool won a Premier League, a Champions League, an FA Cup, and an EFL Cup, each.
Liverpool made their move to replace Mane before he left the building. The club splashed an eye-watering 75 million euros on Darwin Nunez from SL Benfica, which could rise to 100 million should he hit the specified terms in his contract, making him the club’s record purchase.

The Reds are also in the process of finalizing an agreement with Scottish youngster Calvin Ramsay after a fee was agreed, between them and Aberdeen, in the region of 6.5 million pounds.
Jurgen Klopp’s squad was further boosted by the arrival of Fulham graduate Fabio Carvalho earlier in the window; the attacker joined the club in a 7.7 million deal after they initially showed interest in him last January.
