Spurs reportedly turned their attention to Everton forward Richarlison. The Brazilian has attracted interest from other European clubs, and – as per The Athletic – the Toffees will want a fee in the region of 60 million euros to sell him.
The 25-year-old is not the only attacker Spurs are looking to add to their roster during the ongoing transfer window. The North Londoners haven’t yet approached the Toffees with a formal proposal and, as per the report, will only do so if they deem a move to be economical.
As per 90MIN, Spurs aren’t the only team interested in Richarlison. Their London rivals Arsenal and Chelsea, along with European heavyweights Paris Saint-Germain and Atletico Madrid, are also observing the forward’s situation at Goodison Park.
Everton could be forced to sell some of their key players this summer due to financial distresses but would still want to recoup the 50 million pounds they spent on the Brazil international when they signed him from Watford in 2018. The Merseyside club will aim to draw a fee in a similar region from potential suitors but could have a hard time finding a buyer for that price.
Should Richarlison complete a move to Tottenham in the coming days, he would become the club’s third signing of the summer already. So far, Spurs have completed free transfers for Ivan Perisic, who rejoined Antonio Conte in London following a short spell together at Inter Milan, and Fraser Forster, who arrived to act as Hugo Lloris’s backup.
Richarlison crossed the Atlantic in the summer of 2017 to sign for Watford, despite interest from Chelsea. The Brazilian scored five times in 41 appearances across his only season at the club before earning himself a big-money move to Everton. In the four years since he made the move to Merseyside, Richarlison has played 152 times for the Toffees and scored 53 goals.
