After a break of two years, the Pro Kabaddi League is back in action starting on December 22. The PKL Auction in August saw many big names switch sides, with many players reuniting with their former teammates.
Vishal Bhardwaj and Rahul Chaudhary are two such names who will be once again playing alongside each other as they join Puneri Paltan in their conquest for the Pro Kabaddi League title.
Vishal and Rahul, who were once a part of the Telugu Titans squad, will be reunited. The duo will now hope to secure the title for their new franchise.
The vice-captain for PP, Bhardwaj sat down with Sportskeeda discussing the upcoming season, touching down on various topics.
“Rahul has been hard and will perform brilliantly this season!” – Bhardwaj confident on the out of form star raider
Chaudhary has been struggling to find his form ever since his departure from the Telugu Titans. The star raider just managed to get 130 raid points in his 22 appearances for Tamil Thalaivas last season with an average of less than six, which hurts when you’re one of the best raiders in the history of the league.
However, his teammate Bhardwaj seems confident that the star raider will definitely bounce back from rock bottom:
“We played four seasons together for the Telugu Titans, Last season he played for the Thalaivas. It feels good to be reunited, he is a big name in the raiding unit.”
The player then added on Rahul’s work ethic and assured the player will return to form.
“Rahul has been working very hard, and I am sure he will perform brilliantly in Pro Kabaddi 2021. He is a very good person as well as off the mat.”
It will be interesting to see if Bhardwaj is astute with his predictions about the star player. Rahul is one of the most successful players in the history of the league, with over 1000 points to his tally. The Paltan fans will hope that the star raider finds his mojo back and leads the franchise to a title victory this season.
