Liverpool are no longer the only team in the field keeping a close eye on the development of West Ham United star Jarrod Bowen. As per 90MIN, Newcastle United have joined the Reds as one of the clubs keen on signing him next summer.
Presently, Bowen is leading the Hammers to an unprecedented season; the club is vying for top European football next season while also competing in the quarterfinals of the UEFA Europa League.

The 25-year-old was being linked with a move to Liverpool last summer, with the futures of Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane, and Roberto Firmino all up in the air.
Any move for the Englishman then depended upon whether the club was successful in streamlining the squad, but, as it turned out, despite Liverpool’s concrete interest, Bowen remained at West Ham. That didn’t stop the Reds’ boss Jurgen Klopp from praising the player earlier this season.
Klopp had been full of praise for Bowen in November ahead of Liverpool’s meeting with West Ham:
“I like Bowen a lot. He made his way up from Hull and took not too long to show exactly what kind of player he can be in the Premier League. He made big steps.”
And then again in March: “Bowen, what a player he became.”
Nevertheless, Bowen staying at West Ham this season has paid off heavily for both the player and the club. While the Hammers are enjoying a remarkable season on two fronts, Bowen himself is relishing the role as one of the team’s key men.
He has scored nine times and assisted eight in the Premier League this season, with his total contribution tally of 17 being the highest among English players in the division. Across multiple competitions, the numbers go further up – 14 goals and nine assists make him the club’s highest scorer this season and the second-highest assist provider.
