The Haryana Steelers came up with a solid performance as well to get the better of the Puneri Paltan, whereas the Telugu Titans beat the Jaipur Pink Panthers by one point to finally bring an end to their winless run in the ongoing edition of the Kabaddi Pro League.
In what was a one-sided affair after the second half, Haryana Steelers defeated Puneri Paltan 37-30 in the first match of the evening on Wednesday.
The battle between the young raiders from both sides was supposed to be the highlight of this match. Aslam Inamdar and Meetu Singh have done a decent job for their teams throughout the season, but both of them had a disappointing outing on Wednesday evening. While Inamdar could manage only five points in the game, Meetu got only two points.
In fact, no raider from either sides could manage more than a single point in the first 10 minutes of the game. At the end of the first half, scores were tied at 14-14.

Haryana’s Defence played its best game this campagin as both their covers scored High Fives. Jaideep got to his five first when he tackled Kenya’s Victor, who made his this season. This was Jaideep’s third High 5 in his debut season.
Soon after this, Mohit also got to his High 5. A brilliant performance by the Steelers defence meant that Paltan got all out twice in the game, which completely changed the match.
Paltan could not recover from the two all outs, and in the end, the Steelers won comfortably. In fact, Paltan scored more raid points than Steelers, but the two all outs didn’t allow Paltan to recover and make a comeback.
Even after this win, Steelers still are at the ninth position in the table while Paltan is relinquishing at the 11th position.
Telugu Titans vs Jaipur Pink Panthers – battle between two Sandeeps
Sandeep Dhull was leading the Pink Panthers, whereas Sandeep Khandola was doing the same for the Titans, and it was the latter’s team that came out on top, thus helping his side to their first win of the season after 11 games.
The Titans beat the Panthers by a narrow margin of one point, with the scoreline reading 35-34. They found themselves on the right side of the results for the first time in the season.
In the first half, it looked as if the Titans were on their way to another loss as the Panthers gave them an all-out and got a good lead. The score read 20-13 in favour of the Panthers at the end of the first half. But in the second half, within one and a half minutes, Titans inflicted an all-out and levelled the scoring.
It was mainly due to a brilliant five-point raid by Adarsh T, who had a good game scoring nine raid points for the Titans in the match.
Telugu Titans then saved themselves from getting all out again and in the last couple of minutes, inflicted another all out to Panthers which gave them a slender lead of two points, which in the end proved to be just sufficient.

For the Panthers, Arjun Deswal completed his eighth Super 10 of the season. He was supported by Deepak Hooda, who scored eight raid points. In the defence, Visha got the maximum tackle points for the Panthers, as he scored four points. For the Titans, it was Surinder Singh who got four points in defence.
This win didn’t have any effect on the position of the Titans in the points table, but it’d surely give the young team a boost going ahead in the tournament.
