Tamil Thalaivas faced Patna Pirates in their seventh game of the Pro Kabaddi League season 8, the Thalaivas have had trouble converting their lead into wins in their past fixtures, and the game against Patna Pirates was no different.
The South Indian side now has four tied fixtures in their seven appearances and despite currently holding the fourth place in the league standing, Tamil Thalaivas will have to convert their games into positive results if they wish to qualify for the playoffs.
Patna Pirates will be satisfied with the result, as their players showed remarkable composure throughout the game. Monu Goyat was the top scorer for the team picking up nine raid points. He received nice support from Prashant Rai, who picked up seven points for the Pirates.
Patna are now second on the points table with 24 points in six games, and are just two points behind the table-toppers in Dabang Delhi KC and will look to continue their winning momentum when they face Gujarat Giants in their upcoming game on January 8.
Bengaluru Bulls trample over JPP to find 4th win
In the second game of the night, it was Bengaluru Bulls locking horns with the Jaipur Pink Panthers. The South Indian side was able to overcome their opponents as they secured their fourth win of the season, consolidating their third place in the points table with twenty-three points to their name.
Arjun Deshwal was great for the Pink Panthers, picking up 13 raid points, but the young raider did not receive any support from his teammates, and that was one of the key reasons for their loss. Skipper Deepak Niwas Hooda was the second-best player for his side and could only pick up five points.
Bengaluru Bulls’ skipper Pawan Kumar Sehrawat had a blast raiding against the Panthers, as the high-flyer picked up 18 points in the game. Pawan has been in great form this season and is second best only to Naveen Kumar of DDKC, who has been in terrific form as well.
The Bulls will definitely be happy with their win here tonight and will want to keep their winning run alive when they face UP Yoddha on January 9.
