UP Yoddha are in a state of worry as their star raider, Pardeep Narwal yet again failed to perform in dire situations. UP Yoddha took on Jaipur Pink on match 16 of the Pro Kabaddi League season 8.
Pardeep has been misfiring since the start of the season, and the superstar has been able to pick up only twenty-three points in his three appearances for his new franchise. The “Dubki King” was kept on the sidelines for the majority of the game by the Pink Panthers, which was their key to victory tonight.
Arjun Deshwal and Deepak Niwas Hooda were once again the stars for their team tonight as the duo collected a total of twenty points for their side. UP Yoddha are deemed to be worried because Narwal was seen struggling with his left hamstring in the second half of the game, requesting the team physio to tape it during halftime.
If Pardeep is ruled out of the tournament due to his injury, UP Yoddha will be in deep waters, as Shrikanth Jadhav is yet to produce a remarkable performance.
Tamil Thalaivas fight to end as they hold U Mumba on to a draw
The opening contest of matchday six saw U Mumba take on Tamil Thalaivas. The South Indian franchise had complete control over their opposition in the first ten minutes of the game leading 15-5, but a brilliant performance from V Ajith Kumar ensured that U Mumba was alive in the game.
U Mumba will be a bit disappointed with how the game turned out in the end, but they will have to settle with three points moving them to the fifth spot on the points table with nine points.
Abhisekh Singh and Fazal Atrachali were lacklustre tonight for U Mumba as both the star players looked completely out of form. Skipper Fazal had just one point in the defence, while ace raider Abhisekh Singh scored just two raid points.
Game Week 1 will come to an end tomorrow with Puneri Paltan taking on the Patna Pirates in the opening contest, followed up by the Telugu Titans going head-to-head with the Haryana Steelers ensuring a blockbuster end to week one.
