Ajay Thakur is one of the biggest names in the Pro Kabaddi circuit in India. The former Indian skipper has established himself as one of the best raiders in the game and will feature for Dabang Delhi this season in Pro Kabaddi League.
The ex-Tamil Thalaivas skipper will play alongside stars such as Manjeet Chillar, Sandeep Narwal, and Naveen Kumar this season for the Delhi-based franchise, and in a sit-down interview with Sportskeeda, the player opened on his new teammates and his childhood experiences.
Kumar has been one of the standout performers in the Pro Kabaddi League in the past few seasons. The star raider has been a part of the Dabang Delhi KC franchise since his debut and has scored 710 raid points in his 64 appearances for the franchise. When asked about Naveen, Ajay was full of praises for the star raider.
“Naveen Kumar is currently one of the best raiders in India and he adds strength to the squad. Our aim will be to support him properly!”
Fans will be expecting a similar performance by the young raider as DDKC will face Puneri Paltan in their first game of season 8 on the December 23.

Ajay has been playing kabaddi since a very young age, in the same interview with Sportskeeda, he shared an incident from his childhood describing his experiences playing kabaddi since childhood.
“Once I went to play a kabaddi tournament far from my house, My parents did not know where I was and my mother fell ill.
When I came back after a few days, my parents beat me, but when I showed them my trophies, they were delighted!”
According to Ajay, he had performed very well in that tournament earning multiple trophies, but his parents were worried since he had been missing without notice.
Ajay will be in action soon, as he will play a crucial part in the DD squad if they wish to win the Pro Kabaddi title this season. The raider has promised fans to clinch around 200 points this season. It will be interesting to see if the veteran raider can still perform to the best of his capabilities.
