The next highest score for the innings was 22 off 22 balls from Manish Pandey.  Also…

Indian Premier League newbies LSG overcame record champions Mumbai Indians at their den, the Wankhede Stadium, to end all realistic chances of them reaching the playoffs for the 2022 season. MI’s disastrous run continued as the Rohit Sharma-led side faced their eighth consecutive defeat in the tournament. MI became the first team to be virtually eliminated in the season in what has been a pedestrian run where nothing has gone right for them. On the night, they went down by a heavy margin of 36 runs chasing the 169-run target on what was another relatively dry surface in Mumbai. Having restricted LSG to…

Former New Zealand skipper Daniel Vettori believes T Natarajan is prime for an India comeback after his impressive performances in Indian Premier League 2022 for Sunrisers Hyderabad. The Indian Premier League 2022 was hit by a controversy on Friday evening as ugly scenes emerged on the field during a match between Rajasthan Royals and Delhi Capitals. The DC captain Rishabh Pant feels the third umpire should’ve taken the responsibility to adjudicate the no-ball non-call. Pant said that the decision to stick with the on-field call cost Delhi Capitals, who lost the contest by 15 runs. https://twitter.com/AnkushC35642587/status/1517565417648115712 The moment happened on the third ball of 20th over of Capitals’ innings, chasing 223, when Obed McCoy bowled a waist-high full toss, and Rovman Powell clobbered it for a six. The over began with 36 needed off six balls, Powell…

Delhi Capitals skipper Rishabh Pant found himself at the centre of a major controversy on April 22 after threatening to ask his players back, feeling angst over a non no-ball call against his team Delhi Capitals. With 24 required off the last four balls versus Rajasthan Royals, DC’s powerhitter Rovman Powell dispatched a full-toss from Obed McCoy to the deep mid-wicket boundary for another maximum.  https://twitter.com/amanj0104/status/1517595738741837824 But the ball was peerlessly close to the right-hander’s waistline, and that raised contention within the DC camp, especially as the umpires decided not to check for the no-ball. In the heat of the moment, Pant got up from his position in the…
