Pakistan and Islamabad United fast bowler, Hasan Ali, has taken a u-turn on his decision to pull out of the rescheduled 2021 edition of the Pakistan Super League in UAE.
Only a day after announcing that he’ll skip the remainder of PSL 2021 in Abu Dhabi for family reasons, Hasan has now decided he will stay back with Islamabad United for their campaign.
Hasan has changed his mind after consulting the matter with his family and remains available for selection.
I was going through a personal family issue, which has been resolved thanks to my wonderful wife.
Hasan was quoted as saying in a media release by the Islamabad United franchise.
She has assured me she will take care of it and wants me to concentrate on my cricket and my career. Hats off to such a wonderful partner. She has always stood by me through the hardest times and after consulting with her I have decided to stay on with Islamabad United for the remainder of PSL 6.
I would like to thank Islamabad United for their support and understanding during this tough period.
he added.
Ali Naqvi, the Islamabad United team owner, expressed his delight to have him available for the campaign, adding that he is also pleased to know the problem faced by Hassan’s family is now resolved.
Hasan is an integral member of the Islamabad United having taken 11 wickets from his seven matches in the PSL this year while going for only 6.11 runs per over – the second-best economy rate in the tournament after Rashid Khan (5.45), who has played two matches less than him.
United are currently on top of the PSL 2021 points table with six wins and only two losses in their eight matches. They are due to play Peshawar Zalmi in their next fixture on Thursday.
