David De Gea’s future at Manchester United has become uncertain after he rejected the club’s initial contract renewal offer. Apparently, in September 2019, when the Spaniard signed his current deal, Manchester United agreed to pay him £375,000 per week, making him the world’s highest-paid goalkeeper at the time.
Having said that, United will now have to consider their options, with the possibility of losing their star goalkeeper for nothing at the end of the season. They may try to negotiate a new deal with him, or they may look to sell him in the summer transfer window to avoid losing him for free.
