Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba told investigators he was the subject of extortion and blackmail attempts by his childhood friends and brother Mathias. The two released further statements through social media later on.
Former Manchester United star and FIFA World Cup winner, Pogba has revealed to authorities that he was the subject of an extortion and blackmail scheme carried out by his childhood friends and brother Mathias. As per Get French Football News, he told investigators that those accused attempted to extort 13 million euros from him on multiple occasions for “services rendered”, notably “protecting him discreetly for 13 years”.
According to Pogba’s recollection, hooded and armed intruders, which he would later categorize as his childhood friends and brother Mathias, initially trapped him in Paris before laying down their demands in front of him.
They did the same at the Juventus training centre recently, the Frenchman having moved back to Italy after leaving Old Trafford this summer. Pogba also told the authorities that he had seen his blackmailers multiple times since 2018, including in Manchester.
Astonishingly, Mathias took to social media to launch a scathing attack on his younger brother Paul, calling him a hypocrite and implicating him in hiring a witch doctor to cast a spell on compatriot and Paris Saint-Germain star Kylian Mbappe.
“You implicated me in spite of myself, I almost died because of you, you left me in a hole and you want to play the innocent one. When everything is said people will see that there is no bigger coward, bigger traitor and bigger hypocrite than you on this earth.
Kylian, now do you understand? I have no negative feeling towards you, my words are for your good, everything is true and proven, the witch-doctor is known! Sorry about this brother, a so-called Muslim deep in witchcraft, it’s never good to have a hypocrite and a traitor near you!”

Pogba, who is currently sidelined through a knee injury, denied his brother’s claims through a statement released by his representatives on August 28.
