In the first game of the night, Haryana Steelers came on top of Tamil Thailavas by 29-37. They have leapfrogged to the second position in the standings due to this win.

The architect for this win for the Steelers was young all-rounder Ashish (13 raid points, 3 tackle points). His 13 raid points included multiple multi-point raids, which mostly kept the Steelers in the lead. Captain Vikas Khandola acted as the support raider as he scored eight raid points. In defence, apart from Ashish, Jaideep took two tackle points.

For the Thailavas, Surjeet and Sagar did well in defence as they got a combined seven tackle points. Both Manjeet and Ajinkya Pawar got eight points each in the raiding department.

If Haryana Steelers would be happy with this result, the Thailavas have made it even more difficult for themselves as far as their chances to qualify for the playoffs are concerned. They are right now in the eigth spot with five games to play.

It was a replay of season 3 finals as U Mumba took on Patna Pirates in the second match of the night. The Pirates won comfortably again against the Mumba and consolidated their position at the top of the table. They beat the Mumba by 47-36.

Abhishek Singh’s and V Ajith’s efforts went in vain for U Mumba as both of them scored Super 10s, but that wasn’t enough for Mumba to gain victory.

Mumba’s defence had a bad game as apart from Rinku Singh none of their defenders could get going. Fazel Atrachali once again had a bad outing as he got only one tackle point in the whole game.

For Patna Pirates, this time it was their raiders who led the charge as both Sachin and Guman Singh scored Super 10s. The former scored 16 raid points while the latter gained 10 in total.

Guman is playing in place of Monu Goyat, and till now, he hasn’t let the team down with his vital contributions in the raiding department.

In defence, Neeraj got three tackle points while other defenders also contributed at least a single point.

The Pirates now sit comfortably at the top of the points table with 65 points from 17 games, whereas Mumba are at sixth position.
