Leeds United have been dragged into a relegation scrap this season, but Marcelo Bielsa’s team is hanging onto one of the safe spots, thanks to their talismanic winger Raphinha. Now the Brazilian is being linked with a big-money move to Bayern Munich.
As per TNT Sports Brasil, Leeds stalwart Raphinha is on the verge of leaving the club for German giants Bayern. The Brazilian is being linked with a 50 million euros move to the Bavarians, which is due to be completed once the winter window officially opens, as per the report.
The attacker has been one of the few bright sparks in an otherwise underwhelming season for Leeds, with the Whites currently just five points above the relegation zone but having played three games more than 18th-placed Burnley.
As per the report, Avai FC – Raphinha’s boyhood club – has already negotiated their share of the deal; the Brazilian outfit will reportedly receive 1.5 million euros should the move be completed. Now a full Brazil international, he joined the Premier League outfit upon Leeds’ promotion in October 2020. The 25-year-old winger has since made nearly 50 appearances for Marcelo Bielsa’s side – and has contributed with 14 goals.
Meanwhile, as per El Nacional, La Liga giants Barcelona and Real Madrid are battling it out to sign Bayern Munich midfielder Corentin Tolisso next summer. The Frenchman’s current contract is coming to an end with no indication regarding a possible extension. Tolisso joined the Bavarians in 2017 from Olympique Lyon but has since endured an injury-ridden spell, failing to ever fully establish himself as a first-team player.
As per the report, the 27-year-old seemed destined for Los Blancos next summer, whom he would have joined on a free transfer. However, Barcelona’s emergence as a possible destination has since thrown a spanner in the works, and Tolisso is keen to evaluate the Catalan club’s offer before arriving at the final decision.
Despite being in his fifth season at Bayern, Tolisso has made just 109 appearances. He has contributed with 19 goals during this time but has been crowned a domestic champion in all of those five campaigns.
