Colombian winger Juan Cuadrado was outstanding as Juventus picked up a much-needed three points with a dominant performance against Empoli. Massimilano Allegri’s men scored four goals against a listless Empoli defence which seemed to just give up in the second half. Prodigious Barcelona and Spain midfielder Pablo Gavi has been awarded the Golden Boy Award for 2022, after receiving the Kopa Award at the Ballon d’Or award ceremony in Paris a few days ago. Napoli’s winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia has turned quite a few heads this season with a series of outstanding performances. Luciano Spalletti’s side are on top of the Serie A table, two points ahead of Atalanta, who are also unbeaten in the league. ATK Mohun Bagan ran riot over the Kerala Blasters defence as they picked up three points away from home in comfortable fashion. The Islanders posted a lucky victory against Josep Gombau’s side, who were the better team on the day. Ivan Toney’s double ensured a crucial victory for Brentford as they beat Brighton 2-0 in the Premier league. Bengaluru and Chennaiyin played out an entertaining 1-1 draw at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Chennai. Two-time champions Chennaiyin came back from behind to level the game after conceding very early as Fijian striker Roy Krishna opened the scoring with a header in the fourth minute.
