England’s county cricket club Middlesex has announced the singing of Daryl Mitchell for the 2021 season of the Vitality T20 Blast. The New Zealand all-rounder will play the last nine group stage matches of the tournament. Middlesex have already signed Ireland’s Paul Stirling for the first five matches of their campaign. Both Stirling and Mitchell have been roped in as Mitchell Marsh’s replacements, who has been included in the Australia squad for the West Indies tour. Mitchell is currently a part of New Zealand’s Test team, which will take on India in the World Test Championship on June 18 at Southampton. Indian cricket team overcame numerous challenges on their tour of Australia and pulled off a monumental Test series victory as they defeated the hosts by 2-1. The BCCI CEO Hemang Amin has kept two different plans ready for the resumption of the IPL 2021 including a two-leg option in the UK and the UAE. Amin, who is also the Chief Operating Officer of IPL, has laid a roadmap to complete the 14th season of IPL in UAE in September and October 2021. Amidst the Covid-19 mayhem in India, the 2021 edition of T20 World Cup is set to be moved out of the country.
