The BCCI are in talks with the CWI to change the schedule of the Caribbean Premier League to allow West Indian players to feature in the UAE phase of IPL 2021. On May 29, the Board of Control for Cricket in India held a special meeting, where it was decided that the 14th edition of the IPL will be moved to the UAE. Trent Boult could play for New Zealand in their second Testagainst England at Edgbaston thanks to relaxed quarantine in the United Kingdom. Boult had opted to return home instead of travelling straight to the UK after the Indian Premier League was suspended midway in early May. The 31-year-old joined the NZ squad last week. Manjrekar opined that Indian off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin is not yet an all-time great player. The Pakistan Super League is set to resume with a match between Lahore Qalandars and Islamabad United at Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi on Wednesday.  The PSL 2021 was suspended after just 14 games due to the breach in the bio-secure bubble in Pakistan.
