England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB)’s much ambitious league ‘The Hundred’ is finally kickstarting from July 21 with its inaugural edition. The board has announced a new set of rules for the first ever 100-ball competition. The 25-ball powerplay, usage of ‘five’ instead of overs, white cards are just a few of the playing conditions introduced in the English domestic league. The problems in front of Sri Lanka Cricket continue as the Lanka Premier League is all set to be postponed due the foreign players’ unavailability and the recent terminations of three franchises. “It is unfortunate that the tournament will have to be postponed.
