India Women’s national team saw a few changes in their support staff ahead of the Australia tour. The BCCI appointed Gargi Banerjee as manager, while Subhadeep Ghosh took on the fielding coach role. Banerjee, a former India international, has been roped in as the team manager for the trip Down Under. She will replace Rajkuvardevi Gaekwad, who had taken over from Trupti Bhattacharya for the England tour in June. Oval Invincibles defeated Birmingham Phoenix by 20 runs in Eliminator to reach the final of The Hundred women’s competition against Southern Brave on Saturday. Tash Farrant and Marizanne Kapp were the heroes for Invincibles for snatching the victory out of Phoenix’s jaws. Chasing a low total of 115, Phoenix were 58/2 with 57 runs required off 55.
