It has been a tough start to life at Old Trafford for Jadon Sancho. However, Manchester United boss is confident that the former Borussia Dortmund man will eventually be a top forward for the club in the coming years.
According to the Norwegian tactician, Sancho is always learning and looking to improve. Manchester United have been a long term admirer of the 21-year-old forward, and in July, they finally lured him away from Dortmund for a 73 million pounds deal on a five-year contract.
Sancho was in exceptional form in the Bundesliga for the Black and Yellows over the last couple of years. But the English international has failed to replicate that form ever since joining United.
Sancho has struggled to make a mark in his first five appearances for the Red Devils. But Solskjaer is unfazed by the initial off form:
“He’s learning all the time. He’s a young boy, he’s only 21 and he’ll improve. We signed him as we see a top forward for 10, 12, 15 years and I’ve not changed my mind on that.
“He’s so clean on the ball and is enthusiastic to learn and that is such a big thing when you come to Man Utd.”
Sancho has assured everyone that he will keep hustling the same way he did back in Germany. It has been a difficult start for him as he tries to settle in Manchester, but he is sure that things will eventually go his way.
In his four years at Borussia, he has made 137 appearances for the club, netting 50 goals and 64 assists.
