The Catalans tried to sign the RB midfielder man on deadline day, but the German side refused to sell the 23-year-old. According to TMW, the interest in bringing back Olmo to Camp Nou hasn’t died. Barcelona are now planning to hold talks with Leipzig over a potential deal in the winter window.
Barcelona’s financial state has improved considerably, now that Lionel Messi and Antoine Griezmann are off their wage bill. However, Leipzig have valued Olmo 75 million euros, and it is said to be a sum that the Catalans can afford to pay, though they would like to try and negotiate first.
A new report coming in Transfer Market Web is claiming that Olmo not only has Barcelona as the club that is looking to sign him but the likes of Real Madrid, Manchester United and Juventus are also said to be interested in landing the Spaniard.
However, it is highly unlikely that Olmo would go to Santiago Bernabeu. Apart from that, there is no guarantee of obtaining play-time at Manchester United, whose midfield is loaded with Paul Pogba, Bruno Fernandes and Donny van de Beek.
Having been a part of La Masia before, Olmo is likely to be more inclined towards returning to his boyhood club, who are now building a young core with the likes of Ansu Fati, Ousmane Dembele, Riqui Puig, Pedri, and Frenkie de Jong.
