The Brazilian is not at all concerned about Mbappe’s future as he believes that none of the ongoing links with Real Madrid will come to fruition.
Real Madrid have been the biggest admirers of the Frenchman and they even broke the bank in their attempt to lure the 22-year-old forward. Reports claim that Los Blancos splashed out a mammoth €220million bid for the youngster, but Ligue 1 runners-up did not show any interest in selling their talismanic forward.
It was bold from the Parisians to reject such a huge offer when Mbappe has less than a year remaining in his current contract. Leonard is very hopeful that the Frenchman will stay at the Parc des Princes beyond next summer.
“I don’t see Mbappe leaving at the end of this season. Kylian’s relationship with Paris Saint-Germain is deep. That’s why we don’t think about anything else.
“Kylian represents many things. Not only because he is French or one of the best players in the world. He has a way of being that we like and one that everyone likes.”
the PSG sporting director told Canal Plus.
Leonardo feels that Mbappe should be eager to form a deadly attacking trio with Neymar and Lionel Messi:
“I think they complement each other, each one is No 1 in their characteristics. I don’t see jealousy between them.”
Mauricio Pochettino’s men top the Ligue 1 table after winning five out of five games of the season. Today, the Parisian will take on Belgium side Club Brugge in their Champions League opener.
