Kylian Mbappe’s future at Paris Saint-Germain is uncertain as Real Madrid have made a move for the French forward. 2018 World Cup winner has not signed fresh terms with the Parisians and his current contract expires next season.
He has been a long time target for Los Blancos, and finally, they feel it is their time to lure the 22-year-old from the French capital. Madrid have come up with a second bid of €170 million for the forward after their first bid of 160 million was rejected by PSG.
PSG sporting director Leonardo has earlier admitted that Mbappe has expressed his desire to leave the club. However, manager Mauricio Pochettino has revealed that he has not had any conversation with the Frenchman about his desire to leave the club.
The Parisians have started the Ligue 1 season with aplomb. They have won all three of their matches this season and are looking to regain the league title this season. Ahead of their match against Reims, Pochettino revealed that he has not had any conversation with the Frenchman.
“No, he hasn’t told me anything about wanting to leave PSG,”
“The position of our president and our sporting director is very clear on Mbappe’s situation at PSG.”
Pochettino told the reporters at the press conference.
Pochettino is weighing his options as to whether he will start Mbappe, Neymar and Lionel Messi together for their match against Reims.
“They have trained well and we will analyse the situation, we have not yet named the squad. They will certainly be part of the squad, but we do not know yet if they will play from the start,”
the Argentine added.
The Parisians have demanded a transfer of around €220million for Mbappe. However, Real have clearly said that they won’t increase their bid for the 22-year-old. With a year left in his contract, this is the last chance for PSG to cash in on the Frenchman.
Several reports suggest that Pochettino and the players have already accepted that Mbappe will leave the club this summer. Therefore they are looking at several players to replace the French international in Paris. PSG are interested in several players, but with very few days left in the transfer window, it won’t be easy for them to rope in a superstar.
