    Remainder of IPL 2021 to resume on September 19; final on October 15

    The remainder of the IPL 2021 will resume on the 19th of September with defending champions Mumbai Indians taking on arch-rivals Chennai Super Kings at the Dubai International Stadium. There are 31 games remaining including the playoffs and final which is scheduled to be played on the 15th of October in Dubai.

    The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) have announced the schedule for the remainder of the IPL 2021 season which will be played in the UAE. Mumbai Indians square off against Chennai Super Kings to kickstart this second leg on the 19th of September in Dubai. There are 31 matches remaining including the playoffs and the final.

    Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah are the three venues which will host the remaining games. Dubai will host 13 out of those games while Sharjah will host 10 and eight matches will be played in Abu Dhabi. Moreover, the final will be played in Dubai which is scheduled to be played on the 15th of October.

    All teams have at least one game scheduled at each of the three venues. Besides this, all eight teams will also play at least one afternoon fixture. There are as many as seven double-headers scheduled, with the first one scheduled to be held on the 25th of September. The afternoon games will start at 3:30 PM IST (2:00 PM Gulf Standard Time). All the evening games will kick off at 7:30 PM IST (6:00 PM Gulf Standard Time).
