Several reports have suggested that Cristiano Ronaldo may return to Santiago Bernabeu, but the current Los Blancos manager has poured cold water on all those rumours.
The Portuguese talisman departed from Real Madrid in 2018 after a very successful 10-year stint at the Spanish capital to join A giants Juventus and, expectedly, has turned into a pivotal figure at the Allianz Stadium.
Ronaldo has entered the final year of his contract with Juve, therefore a lot of clubs have shown interest in the 36-year-old.
Carlo Ancelotti is well aware of all the rumours linking Ronaldo to return to Madrid. However, he has completely denied any chances of reuniting with the Portuguese international.
“Cristiano is a Real Madrid legend and he has all my love and respect.
“I have never considered signing him. We look forward. #Go Madrid”
the Italian wrote on Twitter.
Accroding to reports, Ronaldo is unlikely to get another long term contract at Turin. Since joining in July 2018, the five-time Ballon d’Or winner has netted 101 goals in 133 matches for the Old Lady. But he has not managed to help the Italian outfit win the Champions League.
Other than Real Madrid, Ronaldo has been linked to Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester United. While the Parisians have signed Lionel Messi, Cristiano’s former club have welcomed the arrival of Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund.
It is mostly because of Ronaldo’s ties with Manchester United and Real Madrid, which sees him get linked with them in almost every transfer window. The Portuguese talisman was a pivotal part of the Real Madrid side in 2013, the year when Ancelotti arrived at the Spanish capital for the first time. The duo were the masterminds in Real Madrid’s La Decima triumph.
Despite all the rumours, it seems that the 36-year-old forward may stay at Turin this summer and will be a vital part of Massimiliano Allegri’s plan for the upcoming season.
