A spectator wearing the Indian team jersey walked onto the field alongside Virat Kohli and co after the lunch break. In what seemed like a hilarious moment, the fan with ‘Jarvo’ tried convincing the security personnel that he was a part of the Indian side before he was forced out of the ground.
After the lunch interval, there were 12 players with the Indian jersey on the field. A fan who wore the Indian jersey walked onto the field with the rest of the Indian team. He wore the ditto Indian jersey and had his name on the back, “Jarvo”.
He tried convincing the security personnel that he was a part of the Indian team as he was seen pointing at the India logo and also tried motivating the Indian players. Later, the security forced and escorted him out of the ground.
The incident left the Indian team in splits, and Mohammed Siraj, in particular, was seen having a big laugh about it. Michael Atherton, on air, also saw the lighter side of the incident.
Moreover, there was another unwanted incident involving the crowd at Lord’s during the first session on day three. Fans threw bottle corks at KL Rahul, who was fielding at the boundary.
According to a few reports, the Indian players have taken the matter to the umpires and complained about the fans’ behaviour. India captain Virat Kohli wasn’t too pleased with the incident, and he was seen indicating Rahul to throw the bottle corks back at the crowd.
