Atletico Madrid will sign Wolverhampton striker Rafa Mir in a 15m euros deal, reports Fabrizio Romano. The Spaniard will join Los Rojiblancos after the Olympics, where Brazil recently defeated his Spain U-23 to claim gold.
Mir spent the last eighteen months on loan at Huesca and scored 25 goals in 57 appearances, 13 of those in the top-flight. Despite that, Huesca were relegated from the division.
Meanwhile, Atletico are also interested in Manchester City’s Bernardo Silva, who is available for transfer. Pep Guardiola confirmed the same in a recent presser but revealed that no club has approached City regarding a transfer yet.
The players who want to leave know the door is open because we don’t want anyone here unsatisfied but they have to bring someone.”
Guardiola said.
Bernardo, who has been a key member of Guardiola’s side, has intended to leave the club since last season. However, all those interested in Portugal international will have to cough up close to 45 million pounds for the player.
Earlier, Reigning LaLiga champions have signed Mark Paulo and Rodrigo De Paul from Fluminense and Udinese, respectively. While Paulo cost the Spanish champions nothing, they had to pay 35 million euros for the services of Copa America 2020 champion De Paul.
