Manchester United have made a bright start to the summer as the Red Devils have already completed the signings of Tom Heaton, Lee Grant and their long-term target in Jadon Sancho.
The Red Devils are now said to be closing in on Rennes’ star Eduardo Camavinga. The defender has a long way to go, and his signing could work wonders for United.
The Red Devils are solid in their attempts to launch a successful title bid next season as they are also said to be targeting the exit-bound Raphael Varane from Real Madrid. The deal is not going to be easy, but it is understood that the personal terms between the player and the Red Devils are not an issue.
In the last few days, there have been reports circulating regarding the possibility of Cristiano Ronaldo making a sensational return back to his old club. The Portuguese was an integral part of Manchester United before he moved to Los Blancos.
Manchester Evening News understands that a possible return for the former Real Madrid man is a long way from happening and is unlikely to happen this summer.
Juventus right-back Danilo has revealed that Ronaldo is staying with the Turin side next season, thus quashing any hopes of the Red Devils’ supporters regarding the 36-year-old making a sensational return to Old Trafford.
The Brazilian star opined that Ronaldo is an integral part of Juventus.
“Having him in the team is important for us because he brings an avalanche of goals, and besides, he’s a dear friend, we’ve known each other since Real Madrid. He’ll still be with us next season.”
Juventus sporting director Federico Cherubini has also maintained a similar stance about Ronaldo making a possible exit this summer.
The striker still has a year to complete in his current contract and hasn’t signed an extension with the Bianconeri.
The former Real Madrid man has also been linked with a move to the French capital with Paris Saint-Germain said to be eager to level their squad up in order to bring in the coveted UEFA Champions League title to the Parc des Princes for the first time ever, next season.
