The Red Devils have been linked with numerous targets this summer, and it will be interesting to see who they can sign this summer.
First up is the curious saga and case of Jadon Sancho. The Borussia Dortmund winger has been linked with a move to Old Trafford since last summer. Since then, the transfer saga has been ongoing, and the English superstar has maintained his stance on being open to join United.
Last summer, Dortmund slapped a £110 million price tag on Sancho, and United went only as high as £90 million, a bid that was shot down by the former Bundesliga champions after weeks of negotiations. This summer, the Bees have dropped their valuation for the winger down to €85 million and Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that there are optimistic feelings in both the parties involved regarding the completion of the deal.
United are said to have offered a fee of around £73 million to secure the services of the England international. The agreement is said to be looming, and the personal terms between the player and the club reached an agreement weeks ago.
Raphael Varane of Real Madrid has evolved into one of the world’s best centre-backs in his decade-long career at the Santiago Bernabeu. The Frenchman has won every major honour while playing for Madrid and has reportedly denied a contract extension with the Los Blancos as the 28-year-old is said to be keen on a new challenge.
Real are said to be open to selling him this summer as they would face the risk of losing him for free next summer, should they decide to keep him for another season. Varane has got only one year left in his contract and is likely to leave the club this summer.
The former La Liga champions initially put an £80 million price tag up for the 28-year-old and are said to have reduced their asking fee, especially after numerous reports claimed that the Red Devils made a £50 million bid for the Frenchman.
Manchester United have also been linked with Erling Haaland. The 20-year-old is one of the hottest prospects in Europe, and numerous reports indicate that he is on his way out of Borussia Dortmund this summer. The former Bundesliga champions are unlikely to part ways with both Haaland and Sancho this summer and would likely want to bid goodbye to their leading marksman of this season next summer.
The Metro understands that Real Madrid are also in the race to sign the 20-year-old. The report also claims that Haaland has given his approval to join Real Madrid, who are said to be preparing a £112 million bid for the Norweigan striker this summer.
Manchester United, Manchester City, and Chelsea are said to be the Premier League clubs said to be interested in signing the 20-year-old, but if these rumours are to be believed, the big three out of the big six have surely suffered a massive blow in their pursuit of Haaland.
