India’s women cricket superstar Harmanpreet Kaur took to Instagram on Sunday to reveal the first look of India’s Test jersey ahead of the England tour.

In an interaction with fans on Instagram, Harmanpreet revealed the jersey saying :

“I’m loving this already, how about you?”

Harman, who has been part of two Test matches for India, also revealed that she is set to sport the famous no. 7 on her jersey.

Following this, BCCI’s official Twitter handle also posted the jersey pictures of players, including Jhulan Goswami, Mithali Raj and Smriti Mandhana.

India women’s team last played Test cricket in 2014, where they faced England in an away game and South Africa at home. Apart from the upcoming Test against England, the Indian team is set to play another Test this year on the tour of Australia.

The one-off Test against Australia is slated to be a pink ball contest from September 30 to October 3. This will be India’s first day/night Test and second in women’s cricket history. The match will be hosted at the historic WACA stadium in Perth.

“Taking forward our commitment towards women’s cricket, I am extremely pleased to announce that Team India will play in their first-ever pink ball day-night Test later this year in Australia,”

Jay Shah, The BCCI secretary, had tweeted announcing the news.

Meanwhile, India women’s team members have been undergoing a hard quarantine of 14 days in Mumbai since May 19. On the completion of the quarantine, they will fly to the UK on June 2 in a chartered flight along with the India men’s cricket team.
