Senegalese defender Mourtada Fall has signed a two-year contract with Odisha FC, and the club is thrilled to announce the news. Fall’s hiring by the team brings him back into contact with his old coach Sergio Lobera and bodes well for the defence of the team.
The club’s desire to compete at the highest level is demonstrated by the acquisition of the Indian Siper League defender with the most goals scored, who has an impressive total of 17 goals.
Fall has made incomparable contributions to the ISL after making an enduring impression while playing for FC Goa and Mumbai City FC in the past. He played a crucial part in Goa winning the Hero Super Cup and the ISL League Winners Shield while there, displaying his strength on defence and his goal-scoring prowess.
Fall continued to rule MCFC, and he made a significant contribution to the team’s remarkable double-winning campaign that saw them win the League Shield and the ISL championship. His strong defensive play, leadership abilities, and accurate shooting helped Mumbai become a force to be reckoned with in the league.
In addition to his domestic victories, Fall has established himself on the international stage by competing in the prestigious AFC Champions League. He has developed his skills and gained a wealth of knowledge from competing against some of Asia’s top clubs, which will be extremely helpful to Odisha FC as they get ready for the upcoming Hero ISL season and the AFC Cup.
Sergio Lobera has been hired as the Juggernauts’ new head coach. Former students Ahmed Jahouh and Mourtada Fall have also joined the club, following in the maestro’s footsteps.
Meanwhile, Spanish attacking midfielder Edu Garcia is on his way to Odisha FC. The highly experienced player currently plays for Sichuan Jiuniu in China League One and will reunite with head coach Sergio Lobera.
