According to Spanish publication El Desmarque, Real Madrid, Manchester United, and Paris Saint-Germain are all interested in signing Borussia Dortmund striker Youssoufa Moukoko, whose contract at Signal Iduna Park is set to expire at the end of the ongoing season.
The Cameroonian-born Germany U21 international is widely regarded as one of the most promising prospects in world football, having already made 46 appearances for the club at the age of 17. He scored 142 goals in just 90 games for the Black and Yellow while also providing 27 assists at various youth levels.
In November 2020, the player made his Bundesliga debut just a day after turning 16 by replacing Erling Haaland in BVB’s 5-2 win over Hertha Berlin.
However, the coveted attacker has yet to reach his full potential, with only seven goals in 46 appearances for the club. This season, Moukoko has been a reserve for Dortmund and played a total of 270 minutes across all competitions for Edin Terzic’s side.
Both Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester United could benefit from signing a talented young striker of the calibre of Moukoko. The 17-year-old left-footed striker with blistering pace and superb technical ability has the makings of a perfect modern-day forward.
Cristiano Ronaldo’s contract is set to expire next summer, and many reports suggest that the Portuguese will leave Manchester United. Moukoko could provide a much-needed replacement at Old Trafford, claims El Desmarque.
Reigning Ligue 1 champions PSG may also be looking for a new attacker, as Lionel Messi’s contract will also expire at the end of the season. Meanwhile, defending LaLiga champions Real Madrid could be interested in Moukoko as a replacement for 34-year-old striker Karim Benzema.
Notably, Moukoko’s current transfer value at Transfermarkt is only 15 million euros.
