Borussia Dortmund’s highly rated midfield prospect Jude Bellingham is quickly becoming one of the most coveted players in the transfer market. Three of the Premier League heavyweights are said to be following and monitoring him closely, while reigning European champions Real Madrid are also interested in his services.
In July, Los Blancos have spent nearly 80 million euros on Moncao’s Aurelien Tchouameni. However, given that their arch-rivals Barcelona have certainly made a lot of noise, Real Madrid’s acquisitions of Tchouameni and Antonio Rudiger on a free transfer certainly look quieter.
It is now believed that after the failed attempt to sign prise away Kylian Mbappe from Paris and after completing most of the renovation of their stadium Santiago Bernabeu, Madrid have plenty of money to spend, and they will look to do the same in the upcoming windows.
One player on their list who is attracting a lot of interest is Bellingham. The Englishman has emerged as one of the best players in the Bundesliga at just 19 years of age and is also proving himself as a great player at the Champions League level. He scored Dortmund’s only goal of the game against Manchester City recently before John Stones, and former Dortmund striker Erling Haaland completed a late comeback.
According to Spanish outlet SPORT, Bellingham has quickly become one of the most followed footballers by Real Madrid, Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester United. All of these clubs are set to go head-to-head against each other in the battle for Bellingham, and sources for Germany report that Dortmund are looking for 100 million euros to part ways with their prized treasure in midfield.
Chelsea, under new owner Todd Boehly, have spent heavily over the summer, and it seems that they are far from being done as the new American owner wants to land a statement signing.
Meanwhile, Liverpool have been hesitant to buy new midfielders in the transfer market despite their obvious lack in that department, as they seem to be single-minded in their pursuit of Bellingham.
