Virender Sehwag will captain Gujarat Giants, while his long-time India and Delhi opening-partner Gautam Gambhir will lead India Capitals in the upcoming Legends Cricket League. Irfan Pathan and Harbhajan will lead Bhilwara Kings and Manipal Tigers respectively.

Sehwag said on his appointment.
The tournament opener will be played at the Eden Gardens, Kolkata, with Lucknow, New Delhi, Cuttack and Jodhpur being the other three hosting cities.
Sourav Ganguly, the former India captain and current BCCI president, will lead India Maharajas in a curtain-raiser exhibition match against the Eoin Morgan led World Giants team on September 16. Overall, 53 former players have been signed up to play the league.

Meanwhile, Sachin Tendulkar will captain defending champions India Legends in the second edition of the Road Safety World Series, beginning September 10 in Kanpur. The competition, aimed at creating awareness on road safety, will also feature New Zealand this year, in addition to Australia, Sri Lanka, West Indies, South Africa, Bangladesh, England.
Indore, Dehradun and Raipur are the other three hosts, with Raipur to host the final on Octover 1.
