Juventus have agreed to re-sign Paul Pogba on a long-term contract upon the expiration of the midfielder’s contract with Manchester United, Sky Sports reports.

The Bianconeri sold the Frenchman to United six years ago in a world-record, nine-figure fee, four years after picking him up for free from the Red Devils themselves. He played 178 games for the Italian giants during his first stint, scored 34 goals, and won the league title in all four years of his stay.

Reports suggest Pogba has agreed to return to Juventus to resume his playing career despite interest from the likes of Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester City. The French midfielder will sign either a four-year contract with the Serie A side or a three-year deal with the option to prolong it by 12 months. He will pen down his new contract at the start of next month, once his contract with United officially expires.

Pogba will leave the club after 226 appearances across six seasons, during which time he scored 39 goals and won the UEFA Europa League and the EFL Cup.

On the other hand, Juventus striker Moise Kean could leave the club after Premier League newcomers Fulham and Nottingham Forest showed an interest in retaining his services, reports reputable transfer journalist Gianluca di Marzio.

Juve sold the forward to Everton in the summer of 2019 for a fee rising to 30 million euros but re-signed him on loan two years later by paying a seven million loan fee with the obligation to purchase him outright in 2023 for 31 million after bonuses.

The Italian featured 42 times for Juventus throughout the 2021/22 season, but mostly from the bench as a substitute in place of one of the starting strikers – Alvaro Morata or Dusan Vlahovic. As per Di Marzio, Kean could leave the club this summer – for which they will have to trigger the purchase option in his deal prematurely – but is undecided as of now whether or not to take up the Premier League offers.
