Cricket West Indies confirmed on June 1 that they will host Bangladesh, India and New Zealand in a busy home calendar spanning June to August. Bangladesh will tour the West Indies for a multi-format series featuring two Tests, three ODIs and three T20Is from June 16 to July 16.
India will then play the first of three ODIs in Trinidad on July 22 – within less than a week after the third ODI in Manchester – the last fixture of a multi-format England tour.
Trinidad will be host to each of the first three ODIs and the five-match T20I series opener, before action shifts to St. Kitts for the second and third T20I. Teams will then travel to Florida, USA, where the Lauderhill Cricket Stadium will host the final two T20Is.
The Blackcaps will then tour the Caribbean for three T20Is in Jamaica, followed by as many ODIs in Barbados, beginning August 7.
“We are delighted to announce the match schedule for the men’s international calendar at home for the rest of the year.
We know our supporters will be delighted with the news that the matches are being played all across the region as well as those living in the USA will be able to see their favourite players in action,”
Johnny Grave, CEO of CWI was quoted as saying by Windies Cricket.
India’s next assignment is the five-match T20I home series against South Africa, beginning June 9. They will then tour Ireland for two T20Is in Dublin on June 26 and June 28, respectively, before the rescheduled fifth Test against England in Manchester gets underway on July 1.
Rohit Sharma’s men will then take on England for three T20Is and as many ODIs, with the white-ball leg running from July 7 to July 17, before they leave for the Caribbean.
