In the latest episode of elite clubs and their striker hunt – Real Madrid are closing in on a signature of Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland. Paris Saint-Germain, meanwhile, are linked with OGC Nice forward Amine Gouiri.
The Norwegian has attracted interest from all over Europe due to his explosive form, dating back to his RB Salzburg days. In the years since, Haaland has turned into one of the continent’s most prolific strikers, scoring 80 goals in 79 appearances for his current club Borussia Dortmund.
The report claims that Real Madrid have already held talks with Haaland’s representatives – including his father. The Spanish giants are open to a move for the Norwegian in the summer, should he himself entertain the idea of playing in Santiago Bernabeu, potentially alongside Kylian Mbappe.
Haaland is currently valued at a whopping 150 million euros – a fee that could reportedly be halved next summer due to the presence of a release clause in his contract, which he and his representatives negotiated into the contract whilst signing for Dortmund two seasons ago.
Paris Saint-Germain, prepared for Mbappe’s potential departure to Real Madrid, are eyeing a move for OGC Nice star Amine Gouiri – says Footmercato.
The France youth international has been a revelation for Nice since signing for them from his boyhood club Lyon, scoring 11 goals in 27 appearances this season and 27 in 68 across two campaigns.
Furthermore the 22-year-old is represented by the same agency that represents PSG managerial candidate Zinedine Zidane. The Frenchman has been linked with the top job at the Parisian club amid the constant uncertainty surrounding incumbent boss Mauricio Pochettino. However, Gouiri won’t come cheap; the youngster has a contract with his current club until 2024 and is valued presently at 45 million euros.
Gouiri could arrive in Paris as part of the scenario that takes Mbappe to Madrid. However, Mbappe is not the only big-name signing Real Madrid are pursuing this summer;
