PSG desperate to sign Ndombele but Spurs continue to hold their ground

Paris Saint-Germain are ready to offer as many as four offers in order to secure the signing of Tanguy Ndombele who has fallen out of favour at Tottenham Hotspur. Despite his present and future at the club being in doubt, Spurs are playing hardball and are hesitant to part with him so easily.

Following a spectacular 2018/19 season for Lyon, the midfielder had attracted interest from many European heavyweights, including Real Madrid. Such was his prodigious talent and technical ability that Tottenham Hotspur broke the bank to make him the most expensive signing in their history (€60m).

Over two and a half years later, Ndombele looks like a shadow of the player he once was and has been relegated to the sidelines. The 25-year-old has attracted criticism for his recent performances and hasn’t been able to impress new manager Antonio Conte.

With his future at the club in the doldrums, Spurs have been listening to offers for him in the market. Valencia are very interested in signing him on a six-month loan deal but PSG have also entered the race for Ndombele and consider him to be a valuable addition to the midfield.

The club from the French capital are ready to cover his full wage for the duration of the loan spell and are now trying to make their case by offering four players in exchange for his services. According to Foot Mercato, Julian Draxler, Leandro Paredes, Danilo and Ander Herrera were the players PSG offered.

However, they might have to go back to the drawing board once again as the offer was rejected by Tottenham chief Daniel Levy.

Spurs aren’t interested in signing these players, and they are only looking to offload Ndombele from their books before deciding to sign any players, if needed. The player, however, loves the idea of returning to France and playing for the Parisians. Speculations suggest that Ndombele also enjoys a close relationship with PSG superstar Kylian Mbappe whose future at the Parisian club is also in doubt.

It remains to be seen whether Ndombele ends up joining PSG or whether Valencia succeed in bringing him to Spain. Reports in France claim that the Spanish club have an agreement in place with Spurs over the potential loan-transfer of Ndombele.
