Big changes are to be expected in Arsenal’s attack over the coming months; the Gunners continue to be linked with ACF Fiorentina hotshot Dusan Vlahovic, while their own forwards are reportedly generating interest from all around the globe.
As per The Athletic, the North London outfit has received an offer from Saudi Arabia for former captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang while, closer to home, Aston Villa are following Eddie Nketiah, set to become a free agent in six months.
Saudi Arabian Pro League side Al Nassr has submitted a loan bid for Aubameyang to Arsenal, to which they are yet to respond. The Gabonese forward has been out of the team for weeks following a disciplinary breach and, then, Africa Cup of Nation duties; he hasn’t made the matchday squad for the Gunners since December 6. The foward is currently back at Arsenal undergoing tests, after the Gabon international team flagged a medical issue.

One player who has benefitted from Aubameyang’s recent continued absence is youngster Eddie Nketiah. The 22-year-old is nearing the end of his contract, and attempts, so far, to get him to renew have hit a stumbling block. Despite his recent run in the first-team, Nketiah could leave his boyhood club for free in six months, upon the expiration of his contract.
Brighton and Crystal Palace have been credited with an interest in the player in the past, as have some Bundesliga clubs. According to Sky Sports, Aston Villa too have entered the queue for the youngster, whom they are considering as a back-up and rotation option to Danny Ings and Ollie Watkins.

While Nketiah has played just eight games throughout the season, he has scored five goals. Surprisingly, all five of his goals have come in the EFL Cup – a competition in which he has four appearances this campaign.
