Southampton manager Ralph Hasenhuttl has implied that the club wants to keep Chelsea loanee Armando Broja at the Saint Mary’s beyond the end of the season. The German confirmed the club’s CEO Martin Semmens has been in contact with Chelsea director Marina Granovskaia regarding the player, before claiming that his family is keen for him to continue his stay with the Saints.
“Everyone has their interests, this is normal in this business, but we must find a decision that is best for everybody.
He is still a very young lad who is still learning and we have to be careful not to overwhelm him with expectations or other things. I know that his family is very, very keen that he is with us and they have absolutely confirmed that he should stay longer with us.
Then it’s also about Chelsea and what they want. There are a lot of talks to be had. But Martin is on this, and Broja should concentrate on this game.”

The teenage striker has scored seven times in 19 appearances across all competitions for Southampton this season. However, widespread reports claim that Chelsea see him as a big part of their plans – whether he sees himself at Stamford Bridge for the long-term remains to be seen.
One player who might not be involved with Chelsea beyond the current season is Andreas Christensen. The Dane has refuted the club’s attempts to extend his deal beyond the end of the 2022 season and could join another club on a free transfer as a result.
As per Fabrizio Romano, the centre-back is attracting interest from Borussia Dortmund and FC Barcelona – both of whom could sign the defender on a pre-contract between now and the end of the season.
The Denmark international has been a revelation in the Chelsea defense since the appointment of Thomas Tuchel, after spending several seasons on loan and then in and out of the Blues’ first-team
