In another action-packed evening of the Pro Kabaddi League, Jaipur Pink Panthers outclassed the Patna Pirates whereas the Bengaluru Bulls strengthened their position at the top of the table with another win against Gujarat Giants.
The Jaipur Pink Panthers came up with a defensive masterclass to beat the Gujarat Giants by a 38-29 scoreline. The Giants performed equally good in offense as JPP but their defense let them down as they completely succumbed in front of the raging raids from the Panthers.
Raider Deepak Niwas Hooda scored a Super 10 for the Pink Panthers and Arjun Deshwal supported him well, scoring nine points. Shaul Kumar shone in defence as he scored four. For the Patna Pirates, Monu Goyat and Prashanth Kumar Rai tried their best earning seven and six points, respectively.
Sachin chipped in with three points as well but there wasn’t much to look forward to in the defence. With this win the Pink Panthers rose up to the fourth spot in the table, whereas the Pirates continue to hold on to their second position.
Bulls carry their good run of form forward
The Bengaluru Bulls strengthened their position at the top of the table further as they defeated the Gujarat Giants 46-27.
Raider Pawan Kumar’s massive haul of 19 points made the difference for the Bulls, and he was supported well by Bharat who scored nine points as well. The Giants were brilliant in raids from time to time as well, but they couldn’t sustain that brilliance for long periods like the Bulls did.
Rakesh Sungroya was the highest scorer for the Giants with 14 points. Pardeep Kumar scored six raid points as well but these contributions were still not enough in front of Bengaluru’s top two scorers, and that turned out to be the difference between the two sides.
