DDKC were thwarted by Giants last night, as the table-toppers were held off to a draw by their opponents. Naveen Kumar, who has been a star for the franchise, believed that his performance against the Giants was his best so far in the ongoing edition of the Pro Kabaddi League.
Talking to the media post-match, the star raider discussed his performance:
“I rate my performance against the Gujarat Giants higher than the last two because Gujarat’s defense is considered to be very good. And, I got a super ten against them.
Yes, our team missed out on the win tonight, but the performance has boosted my confidence. I am looking forward to performing better in the upcoming games!”
The 21-year-old has been one of the best raiders so far in the season, racking up forty-five points in his first three appearances. He has received good support from Vijay Malik and Ajay Thakur, who have produced points for their team in dire situations.
Dabang Delhi KC hope to keep their winning run ahead of GW2 opener vs Bengal Warriors
DD have been unstoppable so far this campaign, but they will perhaps face their biggest challenge this season, as they face the defending champion, Bengal Warriors in the opening contest of game week two.
Despite their loss against the Bengaluru Bulls in their third game, the Warriors will be satisfied with their performance as they fought till the end. Esmaeil Nabibaksh and Maninder Singh are in red-hot form and could prove to be a big challenge for the Dabang defence.
Delhi will hope that Manjeet Chillar, Joginder Narwal, and Sandeep Narwal can subdue Maninder Singh for the majority of the game. Otherwise, the ace raider can take the game and five points away from the table toppers.
