The official broadcaster of the Pro Kabbadi league, Star India, has introduced their new campaign ‘Jo Bhidega Woh Badhega’ starred by the former Indian cricket team captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni, who embodies the spirit of ‘Le Panga,’ a mentality and attitude that helps individuals to handle all the challenges of life face-to-face.
The video depicts a variety of stories of today’s youngsters who will not succumb to any form of suffering, pressure, or bullying and who will face and surpass such formidable difficulties with equal aplomb. Some of the incidents covered in the video include a wounded athlete suffering the agony for his team, a young girl combating abuse from a bunch of lads, and junior resisting being ragged by his seniors at a hostel.
Kabaddi is a combat sport performed by two teams consisting of seven players each and is played for 40 minutes in which there is a five-minute break. The main goal of the game is to earn points by raiding the opponent’s court and touch as many defensive players as possible in a single breath.
Each player tagged by the raider receives a point while stopping the raider earns the opposing team a point. A player is removed from the game whenever they are touched or tackled, but they are reintroduced for each point earned by their team as a consequence of a tag or tackle.
The famous sport of the sub-continent is getting more fame by entering into franchise league in India. Pro Kabbadi is the second most-watched tournament in India, and sums up the fame it has gained as an entertaining sport.
Sanjog Gupta, Head Of Sports, Star and Disney India, stated about the ‘Jo Bhidega Woh Badhega’ campaign ahead of Pro Kabaddi League Season 8:
“We are excited to bring back Pro Kabaddi League after a 2-year break. Millions of fans who lost out on the sport during the epidemic may now re-engage with ‘Le Panga’. The ad honors the tenacious human spirit, which must overcome a variety of obstacles, both large and little.
We believe Kabaddi depicts this attitude in its games, with the raider daring to invade the opposing team’s side of the mat and defeating several defenders.
Winning in life, as in Kabaddi, requires us to believe in ourselves and face problems front on. This universal fact is symbolized by the phrase ‘Jo Bhidega Woh Badhega.”
Mashal Sports have launched Vivo Pro Kabaddi in 2014, and have completely transformed the sport, making it an aspirational sport for both players and fans.
MS and STAR India have collaborated to raise the sport of kabaddi to an international level by introducing fresh and exciting improvements in the rules and perceptions of the game, ushering in a new age for the sport.
They breathed fresh life into the sport by taking it to India’s main cities as well as areas where kabaddi had yet to establish itself. Various ambitious players in India and overseas are increasingly seeing Kabaddi as a possible career choice.
The fifth season of the league saw the inclusion of four new clubs, making it India’s largest sports league in terms of geographical coverage and number of teams.
This season, the kabaddi superstars will once again battle toe-to-toe on the court, guaranteeing high-octane Panga.
