Juventus are on the lookout for a new midfielder. Reports have linked the Italian giants with Borussia Dortmund’s Axel Witsel and FC Midtjylland’s Jens Cajuste. Meanwhile, one of their own, Aaron Ramsey, has been linked with a move back to the Premier League.
Aaron Ramsey, as Goal understands, is one of the high-wage stars Juventus are looking to sell in the upcoming transfer window. The Welshman has been linked with a return to the Premier League – links that date as far back as 2019 when he signed for the Bianconeri – Everton and Newcastle United among those said to be interested.
An ex-Arsenal teammate of Ramsey, Theo Walcott, believes that the Welshman might fancy a move back to London. In an interview with TalkSport recently, he said the following:
“It would be lovely for him to come back. I feel like he would want to. Some part of me in my head is thinking he wants to come back to Arsenal.”
With Adrien Rabiot also seemingly on his way out, Juventus are looking to bring in new midfielders. As per Sky Sports Germany, the Italian giants could attempt to price Axel Witsel away from Borussia Dortmund in the upcoming January window.
The veteran midfielder has fallen behind Mahmoud Dahoud and Emre Can in the pecking order, and with a contract expiring in 2022, could seal a quick move away from the club.
Another midfielder of interest to Juve is FC Midtjylland’s Jens Cajuste – as per Calciomercato. The 22-year-old Swede was linked with a move away from the Danish club in the summer, but nothing came to pass.
The youngster has made over 50 appearances for his club side while making nine further for the international team. However, his contract at Midtjylland expires in Summer 2023, and he could be available for a cut-price fee.
