Declan Rice has earned plaudits for his performances this season as West Ham United push for a top-four place. The Englishman has also been linked with moves to some of the country’s top clubs, but the Hammers are reluctant to part ways with their star asset.
The Hammers are unwilling to listen to offers for Rice, reports The Sun. The board are reluctant to part ways with their star asset as they look to push on and become regular contenders for a UEFA Champions League spot. David Moyes’ side is currently third in the league following a string of impressive results, the latest of which saw them beat Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool 3-2.
Both Manchester clubs and Chelsea have been linked with Rice in recent years, with the latter thought to be holding a strong interest in bringing their former academy player back to Stamford Bridge.
A valuation in the region of 100 million pounds has been reported previously, but The Sun believes that even a bid in that region wouldn’t tempt West Ham to sell the youngster at the moment, as they look to build a strong team with him at its centre.
Rice has earned plaudits for his performances this season as West Ham push for glory on several fronts. His league appearances aside, the Englishman has played a key role in the Hammers’ UEFA Europa League campaign. They are currently top of their group with ten points, on-course to finish as the group winners. Rice himself has scored twice in the competition, in successive 2-0 wins against Dinamo Zagreb and Rapid Wien.
West Ham are also on a good run in the EFL Cup, having beaten both the Manchester giants in back-to-back rounds. In the league this season, Moyes’ men have lost just two games – the same as Manchester City – and have scored the third-most goals in the division. The Hammers are third in the league heading into the international break, level on points with City and one above Liverpool.
