The last few months haven’t been the most entertaining ones for Cristiano Ronaldo, besides winning the EA Player of the month award upon his return to the Premier League. His side have started to experience poor form, things aren’t going particularly well across departments for his club, the rape case still looms large around the horizon, and now he has a new headache to deal with.
It has come to Ronaldo’s notice that a part of his mansion in Portugal, worth over 2.7 million euros, should be demolished as it doesn’t adhere to the limitations. The mayor of the local area, Manuel Tibo, lashed out at the superstar footballer for not respecting the boundaries and constructing his mansion beyond the permitted area.
“He presented us with a project that was approved. But then he also built outside of the permitted limits,”
Tibo said, as reported by Marca.
Ronaldo now has time until March 2022 to make the required changes to ensure his property is existing within the legal limitations.
The 36-year-old forward is not experiencing such a conundrum for the first time in his life. He had previously remodelled his terrace in Lisbon, which wasn’t within the approved limitations.
It was also reported by that the mansion was sold to his Portugal and former Real Madrid teammate Pepe, but popular radio house RTP had confirmed it was still in Ronaldo’s name.
The all-time leading goal-scorer in professional football history is now living in Manchester as he plies trade with the club that gave him the initial image, before becoming an all-time great at the Santiago Bernabeu. He has scored six goals in nine appearances since completing his transfer from Juventus.
However, United’s sorrows are far from being solved. They had a decent start to the season, until they lost their first game of the season to Young Boys in the Champions League. In the following weeks, defeats to Aston Villa, Everton, Leicester City, and most recently, Liverpool, have put the club under immense pressure.
Ronaldo is apparently trying to work his magic and pull the team together ahead of their visit to North London to face Tottenham Hotspur.
